Windham Mountain Resort HEAVY EQUIPMENT OPERATOR in Windham, New York

Overview of Position: Heavy Equipment Operators are responsible for completing tasks with a variety of heavy equipment as assigned including but not limited to trail maintenance, snowmaking repairs and general repairs of roads/parking lots.

Job Qualifications:

  • Operates heavy equipment of various sizes and weights

  • Has basic knowledge of some types of heavy equipment

  • Must be clean, neat and organized.

  • Able to complete directions safely, thoroughly and accurately.

  • Must be flexible, willing to learn and adapt to changes.

  • Physically demanding work that requires regularly working on uneven terrain, standing, lifting, pulling and stooping.

  • Able to regularly lift up to 50 pounds.

  • Can work independently and/or with others in a supporting manner.

    Job Duties: The list below best represents many tasks you will be asked to perform at some time during your employment here at Windham Mountain Club. We cannot predict all the challenges that we may face in providing the products our members and guests expect and additional responsibilities may be assigned as necessary.

  • Primarily responsible for the safe operation of equipment and machinery on the property.

  • Examples of equipment and machinery to be operated include but are not limited to: Forklift, skid steer, mulcher, tractors, etc.

  • Maintain all mechanical equipment on a regular basis – preventive maintenance should be stressed, greasing, checking oil, etc.

  • Responsible for refueling machinery and maintaining facilities thereof.

  • Keep work areas and vehicles neat, clean and safe at all times.

  • Notify Vehicle Maintenance when taking parts out of inventory.

  • Complete tasks as assigned in a safe, timely and effective manner.

    Work Schedule and Conditions: We are in the business of providing exceptional service and experiences for our members and guests. Traditionally our busy periods are during weekends and holiday periods which you will be expected to work. You can also expect to be asked to work extra hours or days on occasion, especially during the holiday periods.
