Description

We are offering an exciting opportunity in the financial industry based in Winchester, VA area. We are seeking a Sr. Accountant to join our team, who will be involved in intricate general ledger accounting, balance sheet account reconciliations, journal entries, and complex analysis that requires proficiency in Excel. The role will also include assisting with the preparation of financial statements and 10K prep.

Responsibilities:

• Execute detailed general ledger accounting tasks

• Conduct balance sheet account reconciliations

• Prepare and record journal entries

• Perform complex analysis using Microsoft Excel

• Assist in the preparation of financial statements and 10K reports

• Oversee month-end close procedures

• Utilize financial systems such as NetSuite, Oracle, and SAP

• Manage account reconciliations, including bank reconciliations.

Requirements

• Minimum of three years of experience in a similar role as a Sr. Accountant

• Proficiency in account reconciliation and balance sheet reconciliation

• Demonstrated experience in performing bank reconciliations

• Solid understanding of general ledger operations

• Ability to prepare and adjust journal entries

• High level of proficiency in Microsoft Excel

• Experience with month-end close procedures

• Knowledge of NetSuite accounting software is a must

• Familiarity with Oracle financial software

• Experience with SAP financial software is highly desirable
