Cost Manager

This is a full-time on-site salaried position: Monday – Friday, 1st shift.

Catalent’s Winchester location is the flagship US manufacturing location for large scale oral dose forms, with integrated analytical and development services. With 28 years of expertise in product development, technology transfers and commercial manufacturing, and roots in industry leading Glatt technology.

The Cost Manager is responsible for all aspects of cost accounting and production analysis. This includes managing costs related to manufacturing operations and analyzing production processes to ensure efficiency and cost-effectiveness. The Cost Manager will contribute to managing the business by participating in business planning, full engaging in the budgeting process, performing all facets of cost accounting, and completing thorough production analysis.

The Role:

• Overseeing how costs are allocated to products, ensuring accuracy in cost calculations and analyzing production data to provide insights into operational efficiency and cost optimization

• Assist in compiling the inventory/Absorption/Variances for the monthly forecast/annual budget

• Responsible for month end and year end closure activities, reconciling cost inventory & scrap accounts

• Install cost control procedures to manage and reduce costs effectively. Overseeing the systems and methodologies used to track cost

• Prepare reports that detail the costs associated with produced goods that will assist in management decision making

• Review completed product manufacturing cost to ensure alignment with standard cost to evaluate the profitability of products while identifying opportunities to optimize cost

• Other duties as assigned

The Candidate:

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance, preferred; High School diploma, required

• Five+ years progressive experience in the Cost/Accounting field

• One+ year(s) supervisory experience

• Advanced degree, preferred

• CPA or CMA, preferred

• Individual may be required to sit, stand, walk regularly and occasionally lift 0-15 pounds
