What you’ll do:

Key Job Objectives

• To support the Finance Team:

• Month end and financial reporting

• Finance review meeting reporting

• Wider Leadership Team reporting

Other Duties:

• Month end close and reporting duties to include but not limited to key responsibilities below

• Analyses

• Journal preparation

• General Ledger Reconciliations

• Coordinating weekly reporting requirements for business unit

• BU monthly reporting

• Balance sheet reconciliations

• Support to budget and forecast presentations

• R&D tax calculation

• Monthly preparation and submission of VAT return

• Preparation of Eurofighter VOP calculation

• Support to Operations Finance Lead, including standard costs, job card variance investigation, and inventory held at suppliers

• Ad hoc support to the Finance leadership team

Qualifications:

• Preferable but not essential:

• Graduate – preferably in a related subject area

Skills:

• Numerate, logical and able to express yourself clearly in figures , verbal and written presentations

• Able to work to strict deadlines whilst maintaining a high degree of accuracy

• A confident communicator, able to work effectively at all levels of the organisation

• Able to display the gravitas to operate and influence at a senior level

• Further competencies will be provided via the competency matrix, and linked to the relevant job level

• Part qualified accountant, AAT, CIMA, or ACCA, able & willing to complete study under a training programme
