Job Title: Electrical Controls & Project Engineer

Job Description

In this non-union office/manufacturing environment, you will meet with the electrical crew and supervisors to discuss priorities and ongoing projects as well as immediate issues. on the plant floor, you will troubleshoot issues with controls systems or machinery, and diagnose PLC or HMI problems. Changes and new designs will be implemented increase efficiency. Will maintain documentation related to process control system configurations, and work with maintenance teams to develop strategies for long term resolution.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct daily meetings with electrical crew and supervisors to discuss priorities and ongoing projects.

  • Review schedule and emails for urgent tasks and callouts.

  • Plan daily activities around project deadlines, maintenance tasks, and travel to other facilities.

  • Troubleshoot and diagnose issues with control systems and machinery on the plant floor.

  • Analyze facility processes to identify areas for improvement.

  • Implement changes or new designs to enhance efficiency and productivity.

  • Plan and coordinate technical design and engineering projects.

  • Create electrical and process control plans, manage budgets, and collaborate with in-house and contractor personnel.

  • Maintain documentation related to process control system configuration, including SOPs.

  • Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and quality standards.

  • Develop strategies for downtime prevention and long-term issue resolution with maintenance teams.

  • Plan for facility shutdown activities and continuous improvement projects.

  • Experience with continuous manufacturing processes

  • Hands-on experience with steam, hydraulic, and pneumatics systems

  • Experience with Allen-Bradley & PLC’s, Wonderware HMI, FactoryTalk

  • Oregon electrical license required (Plant Manufacturing or General License)

  • Previous supervisory or lead experience preferred
