Description
Essential Job Functions:
Accurately process physician orders
Follows physician orders
Performs initial nursing assessment
Performs ongoing assessments
Provides patient education on laboratory testing, medication, treatment and other areas as appropriate
Performs venipuncture as necessary
Administers medications as ordered
Responsible for monitoring LPNs as required
Collaborates with medical and clinical staff to provide excellent patient care
Requirements:
Graduation from an approved nursing school
Valid RN licesese to practice in NC
Ability to work with male and female adults patients (18+) with substance abuse/mental health disorders
CPI and CPR certifications (offered at hospital)
Knowledge of chemical dependency and mental health disorder treatment
Preferred:
Current CARN certification
Experience working with substance abuse/mental health disorders
Knowledge of 12 step recovery programs
