Description

Essential Job Functions:

  • Accurately process physician orders

  • Follows physician orders

  • Performs initial nursing assessment

  • Performs ongoing assessments

  • Provides patient education on laboratory testing, medication, treatment and other areas as appropriate

  • Performs venipuncture as necessary

  • Administers medications as ordered

  • Responsible for monitoring LPNs as required

  • Collaborates with medical and clinical staff to provide excellent patient care

Requirements:

  • Graduation from an approved nursing school

  • Valid RN licesese to practice in NC

  • Ability to work with male and female adults patients (18+) with substance abuse/mental health disorders

  • CPI and CPR certifications (offered at hospital)

  • Knowledge of chemical dependency and mental health disorder treatment

    Preferred:

  • Current CARN certification

  • Experience working with substance abuse/mental health disorders

  • Knowledge of 12 step recovery programs
