Novant Health ishiringaregistered nursefor thenightshiftatourNew Hanover Regional Medical Centerlocation inWilmington, NC.We are seeking currentorprevioustravel nurses who have worked with Novant Health who are interested in joining our90DayTemporaryAssignment Program in the effort toconvert to a permanent position after the assignment is completed.

  • Schedule :PRN,0.1FTE,NightShift,7pm – 7am.Willbe assignedathree 12-hour shift rotation every week for 13 weeks (about90 days).

Qualifications

  • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing required.

  • Associate's or Bachelor'sdegree in nursing.

  • Current valid North Carolina nursing license required.

  • Basic Life Support (BLS) through American Red Cross or American Heart Associationrequired.

  • One consecutive year within defined specialty preferred.

  • Current /previousemployment as a travel nurse working with Novant Health.

If your RN nursing license has been inactive, retired or lapsed for five years or more and you have not been licensed in another state during the last five years, successful completion of a Board approved refresher course isrequiredprior to reactivating or reinstating your license.In order tobe considered for current licensure status, you must apply for reinstatement within one year of completing the refresher course.

Responsibilities

  • Demonstrate refined assessment skills to understand patient's story, integrating subjective and objective data, physical and psychosocial components, preferences, and learning needs. Utilize ongoing data interpretation todetermineimmediate and future care needs.

  • Engage in dialogue with patients/support systems toidentifypreferences, incorporate them into care plans, and involve interdisciplinary teams. Establish realistic short and long-term goals, prioritizing interventions foroptimalhealth outcomes.

  • Act with patient advocacy at the core, collaborating with healthcare teams to educate patients/support systems. Administer and evaluate medication therapies, perform nursing interventions, and adapt care plans as needed.

  • Continuously assess patient progress toward goals, seeking input from patients/support systems andmodifyingcare plans accordingly.

  • Effectively communicate care plans and progress to all team members,utilizingappropriate toolslike SBARQ. Ensuretimelydocumentation of relevant information.

  • Appropriately delegate tasks while ensuring patient safety and considering task nature and delegate competence. Hold self and others accountable foroptimalrole performance.
