Description

JOB DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITES:

  • Conduct group and/or family sessions, under supervision, as scheduled and documents as required.

  • Co-facilitate assigned group or family sessions and assist with modifying problem behaviors.

  • Provide crisis intervention to patients, as needed.

  • Demonstrate a positive, empathetic and professional attitude towards customers always. When patient needs are not met, acknowledge and work to resolve complaints. Recognize that patient safety is a top priority.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • High school diploma or equivalent with four or more years’ experience in a behavioral health environment

  • OR Associates Degree in a human service field with two or more years’ experience in a behavioral health environment 

  • CPR and de-escalation and restraint certification required (training available upon hire and offered by facility). 

  • Teamwork and excellent customer service

  • Valid Driver License with acceptable driving record.

PREFERRED:

  • Two or more years’ experience with the population of the facility

  • Certification or willingness to pursue certification as a Substance Abuse Counselor

  • Knowledge of 12-step recovery programs.
