Description
JOB DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITES:
Conduct group and/or family sessions, under supervision, as scheduled and documents as required.
Co-facilitate assigned group or family sessions and assist with modifying problem behaviors.
Provide crisis intervention to patients, as needed.
Demonstrate a positive, empathetic and professional attitude towards customers always. When patient needs are not met, acknowledge and work to resolve complaints. Recognize that patient safety is a top priority.
REQUIREMENTS:
High school diploma or equivalent with four or more years’ experience in a behavioral health environment
OR Associates Degree in a human service field with two or more years’ experience in a behavioral health environment
CPR and de-escalation and restraint certification required (training available upon hire and offered by facility).
Teamwork and excellent customer service
Valid Driver License with acceptable driving record.
PREFERRED:
Two or more years’ experience with the population of the facility
Certification or willingness to pursue certification as a Substance Abuse Counselor
Knowledge of 12-step recovery programs.
