EC Teacher needed for 24-25 school year

Job Description:

Amergis Staffing is seeking a dedicated and passionate Exceptional Children (EC) Teacher to join our team for the 2024-2025 school year. This position is based in a vibrant school in Wilmington, NC.

Setting: EC Classroom

Location: Wilmington, NC

Start date: According to school calendar, July 22 is when "New Teacher" training begins. First day of school is August 5

School hours: 8a-3p

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) for students with special needs.

• Adapt general education lessons and teach various subjects to students with mild to moderate disabilities.

• Collaborate with other educators, school staff, and parents to support student learning and development.

• Monitor and assess student progress, maintaining detailed records.

• Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that fosters learning and growth.

• Utilize various teaching strategies and resources to meet the needs of students with different learning abilities.

Licensure requirements:

• Active NC Teaching license

• Minimum 1 year of experience as EC Teacher

• ECATS experience is preferred
