JPMorgan Chase Risk Management - Auto Originations & Portfolio Management - Executive Director in Wilmington, Delaware

As a Risk Management - Auto Originations & Portfolio Management - Executive Director in Risk Management and Compliance, you will be responsible for analysis and oversight of originations and portfolio performance from lending through our $35B per year indirect portfolio. You will own analysis of the portfolio dynamics, the drivers of credit performance, and requires an understanding of competitive, market, and strategic forces on the business.

You will need the ability to display strong analytical leadership, stay organized managing many competing priorities, and communicate concisely and effectively. You will lead a team focusing on the Dealer Services and Private Label Captive Finance portfolios. You will be required to have regular interaction and communication with outside vendors and cross-functional partners, including Consumer Auto Finance business leadership, Finance, Legal and Compliance partners, other functional partners and other areas of the Risk unit.

Job Responsibilities

  • Build out automated controls to monitor and understand credit profile and performance changes, acting as "first to identify, first to diagnose"

  • Influences credit strategy decisions based on analysis of performance

  • Lead Credit Risk Early Warning (CREW) and the recession playbook

  • Act as the primary point-of-contact for Risk with our business partners

  • Build relationships with business partners while collaborating to develop solutions that fit within the Risk framework

  • Lead regular Risk reporting touchpoints

  • Assess, build, and implement changes to manage risk or drive strategic results in collaboration with our business partners

  • Lead a team of eight analytical resources, developing their skills and enabling career growth

  • Use internal and external data to analyze and diagnose trends and communicate results and recommendations to key stakeholders

  • Quickly respond to requests from Senior Leadership and regulators

  • Represent Auto Originations Risk in Management, Approval, Control, and Regulatory forums

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • Bachelor's degree in a quantitative field, 10+ years consumer risk strategy or similar experience in data, analytics or modeling

  • Strategic thinker with the ability to organize and analyze data, identify drivers of performance, and effectively communicate results and recommendations

  • Ability to develop analytical talent, attract top talent, and build a high-performing team

  • Demonstrated ability to lead and implement change in a fast paced and complex environment

  • Excellent problem-solving skills, with a combination of analytical, technical, and business acumen

  • Requires a background in Consumer Lending

Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • Master's degree preferred

  • A preference for consumer auto lending, utilizing statistical analysis
