Insight Global Remote Enterprise Architect (Manufacturing Domain) in Wilmington, Delaware

Job Description

A global manufacturing company is seeking a highly skilled Enterprise Architect with an expertise in Manufacturing and Manufacturing Execution Systems to join their team! Supporting both ongoing and new initiatives, this individual will be a key member of IT Technology Architect Team and will provide technical expertise to enable strategy and detailed solutioning across modern supply chain, manufacturing execution systems, engineering, and logistics. At a high level, this individual will be leading technical deployments, setting standards for solutions within the Integrated Operations domain, establishing executional road maps and ensuring project/program work products. This role can sit fully remote (working EST) and is a 6- 12 month contract opportunity with the possibility of extensions or conversion.

Additional Responsibilities Include:

  • Develops or contributes to project deliverables, such as creating or updating end to end solution landscape.

  • Defines and maintains standards, principles, reference models and patterns

  • Compiles a solution outline or solution architecture definition

  • Identifies and mitigated technical and non-functional risks

  • Defines a baseline to target migration path

  • Understands a variety of alternative technologies within their domain

  • Understands alternative design patterns and making trade-offs between them

  • Performs evaluation of new technologies in the domain to define target architecture at Domain Level.

  • Co-owner of the approved inventory for technologies within the Integrated Operations domain.

  • Defines shorter term execution road map (12-18 month horizon) in collaboration with Solution Architects

  • Responsible for program/project work products within Integrated Operations.

  • An escalation resource for Integrated Operations Solution Architects, for broader landscape support and guidance.

  • Delegates tasks to appropriate project/program technical resources and identifies capability gaps.

  • Supports the Project Manager in pre- and post-implementation reviews and incorporating lessons learned into future work and standards.

Skills and Requirements

  • 7+ years of experience in Enterprise Architecture with a primary focus in the Manufacturing domain/ Manufacturing systems

  • Strong understanding of modern supply chain planning, logistics solutions, and manufacturing execution systems (SAP WM, MM, PP, OMP, o9, Tracksys, xTrim, etc.)

  • Experience with cloud computing technologies

  • Excellent communication skills and proven ability to drive project initiatives - adept to listening, understanding, and translating technical aspects to business stakeholders

  • Strong problem solving skills and the ability to lead other technical architects to meet project goals

  • Proven ability to work in a highly matrixed, fast paced environment - Experience working in a global environment

  • Experience with Sharepoint, Power BI or similar tools for project reporting null
