The E&I Leveraged Engineering team is seeking an Electromechanical /Robotics Project Leader in the North America region. This role will be assigned the Discrete Process Owner within DuPont Electronics & Industrial for Integrated Operations. The selected candidate will provide leadership for Automated Process Equipment, which includes managing a global community, developing technology roadmaps with site engineers, and supporting sites with project execution. The ideal candidate will have detailed expertise in designing and commissioning of automated equipment for discrete processes.

Your Key Responsibilities :

  • Supports the EHS organization to assist with investigations and action items.

  • Collaborate and support of the DuPont S1M machine safety standard for the E&I Integrated Operations organization. Proactively address machine safety risks by participating in machine risk assessments (MRAs) during design and execution.

  • Provides technical expertise to support the following:

  • Business-level and site-level Technology Roadmaps

  • Automation Assessments

  • Capital projects including Statements of Work (SOW), Design Reviews, Construction, Acceptance Tests, Commissioning, and Safety Reviews

  • Site Automation Evaluations/Improvements

  • Provide expertise in mechanical layout and equipment design to support projects at the sites.

  • Strong knowledge of electrical design and network architecture.

  • Provide expertise in automated process equipment including robotics, barcoding, and inspection systems (vision and scanning).

  • Provides technical expertise for Management of Change, including technical reviewer of site MOC processes.

Your Qualification Profile:

  • 8+ years of experience in a discrete manufacturing environment focused on the design and maintenance of automated equipment.

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering with coursework concentration involving one or more of the following areas:

  • Electromechanical system design and integration

  • Electronic circuit/device design

  • Machine design

  • Machine automation and control (PLC/HMI/Robots)

  • Machine vision and automated inspection

  • Microsoft SQL Database Integration

  • Able to travel to manufacturing sites (average 50% of time)

  • Experience with Machine Risk Assessments and Performance Level calculations

  • Experience with CAD/CAM software – SolidWorks and NavisWorks preferred

  • Experience with mechanical and/or electrical fabrication technology

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work in a challenging, diverse team environment in a respectful manner.

  • Demonstration of influential leadership to lead & mentor

  • Strong Interpersonal skills

  • Highly motivated problem solver
