Robert Half Delaware Litigation Associate in Wilmington, Delaware

Description

We are seeking a Litigation Associate to join our team in Wilmington, Delaware. This role is centered around corporate and securities litigation, where you will be working on institutional investors' behalf in challenging mergers and acquisitions, securities fraud, and shareholder derivative actions. This position offers an engaging environment where your skills and ambitions can be put to test and honed.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct in-depth legal research on complex corporate and securities law issues, analyzing statutes, regulations, case law, and other legal sources to provide thorough legal opinions.

• Prepare pleadings, motions, briefs, and other legal documents with precision and clarity. Draft comprehensive reports and correspondence to clients.

• Oversee and manage discovery processes, including document review, depositions, and interrogatories. Coordinate with paralegals and other support staff to ensure efficient case management.

• Assist in all aspects of trial preparation, including developing case strategies, preparing exhibits, and organizing trial documents. Participate in courtroom proceedings and assist lead attorneys during trials.

• Maintain regular communication with clients to provide updates, discuss case developments, and offer legal advice. Develop and maintain strong client relationships.

Requirements

Qualifications:

  • Educational Background: Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.

  • Bar Admission: Admitted to practice law in Delaware (DE), New York (NY) or Pennsylvania (PA), or another jurisdiction, and in good standing with the state bar.

  • Experience: 2+ years of experience in corporate or securities litigation preferred. Experience in the Delaware Court of Chancery is a plus.

  • Skills: Exceptional legal research, writing, and analytical skills. Strong oral advocacy and interpersonal communication abilities. Proficiency in legal research databases and case management software.

  • Attributes: Detail-oriented, organized, and able to manage multiple tasks and deadlines. Demonstrates initiative, creativity, and a strong work ethic.
