RESPONSIBILITIES:

The person in this position will be responsible for supporting energy programs, with a focus on efficiency initiatives. This position will also support the environmental compliance and sustainability programs. This position will require frequent travel to assist plant personnel in the development of utility management systems, review efficiency projects and complete utility related studies. Position responsibilities include:

  • Ensuring the accurate and timely completion of utility prorate and tax exemption studies.

  • Identify and support utility efficiency projects, promote best practice implementation, and secure rebates and other conservation incentives.

  • Complete measurement and verification of utility conservation projects.

  • Assuring the accurate and timely submittal of various utility and emission reports.

  • Evaluating emerging utility and environmental issues, including developing regulations, and providing guidance related to the scope and impact on the organization.

  • Developing and implementing utility and environmental management system components, including development of Strategic Utility Management plans, policy writing, training, and auditing.

  • Providing technical support to assure success of the corporate sustainability programs.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Required

  • A bachelor's degree in engineering or related technical field

  • 2 years of exposure to energy management or energy systems. Experience in an environmental compliance role is preferred.

  • A strong pattern of initiative.

  • Highly developed leadership skills.

  • Proven problem-solving and decision-making skills.

  • Well-developed written and verbal communication skills.

  • Ability to work effectively in a diverse team environment.

  • Ability to prioritize and balance many tasks simultaneously

  • Must be a Citizen or National of the United States, a lawful, permanent resident, or have authorization to work in the United States.

Location: Austin, MN or Willmar, MN Corporate Office

Travel: Up to 25% travel
