Arizona Employer Occupational Therapist (Part Time On Call As Needed) - Critical Access Hospital in Willcox, Arizona

Functions as aOccupational Therapist (Part Time/PRN) in a team and mission-based settingto provide functional evaluation of the client and the planning and utilization of a program of purposeful activities to develop functional or adaptive skills designed to achieve maximal physical and mental functioning of the patient. Participates in performance improvement and continuous quality improvement activities.This position may be asked to work at other NCCH-designated work location or sites as needed.
Supervision Received:
Works under the direct supervision of theRehab Manageror designated therapist.
Necessary Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Excellent written and verbal communication and organizational skills.
- Experienced in public speaking and presentations.
- Strong leadership abilities inclusive of clinical skills and personnel management skills.
Education and/or Experience:
- Graduate of an accredited college program in Occupational Therapy with a Bachelor of Science.
- Two or more years of work experience in acute care and skilled care or long term care settings, to include all ages of patients, preferred.
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations:
- Current, unrestricted Occupational Therapist License from the Arizona State Board of Occupational Therapy Examiners.
- Current Certification as an OTR (Occupational Therapist Registered ) from the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy, Inc. (NBCOT).
Necessary Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Knowledge of HIPAA privacy requirements and medical terminology.
- Establish and maintain solid working relationships through communication, cooperation, and positive interactions with all patients/clients, employees, staff, providers, and vendors.
- Willingness to work a flexible schedule.
- Demonstrated ability to self-motivate and work independently with limited supervision.
- Strong customer service skills along with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Positive communication skills; ability to successfully interact with all customers; continuous demonstration of courteous, cooperative and service orientated behavior.
- Supports and maintains a culture of safety, quality and positive patient experience.
- Basic computer skills, and ability to use office equipment to include but not limited to copy machine, faxes, EMR, etc.,
