Bio-Techne Biologics Sales Specialist - Germany, Poland, Czech Republic and Slovenia in Wiesbaden, Germany

Position Summary:

Maurice, iCE3 and MFI systems are Bio-Techne’s innovative Biologics Research, Development and Manufacturing QC systems. These are focussed on BioPharmceutical companies, as well as the Cell & Gene Therapy Sector.

This is a field-based sales position responsible for a territory comprising Germany, Poland, Czech Republic and Slovenia. The ideal candidate will have capital equipment sales experience, experiences in CE (capillary electrophoresis), a life science background and live in Germany.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

The position is responsible for sales of Bio-Techne’s Biologics Instruments, consumables. Experience of sales to the Pharmaceutical Industry and BioTechs would be a big benefit. Day to day responsibilities will involve planning regular travel to customer accounts in territory, effective follow up of sales leads, efficient management of the sales pipeline and prompt closure of instrument system and consumable sales opportunities. Other duties will involve working closely with colleagues in other Bio-Techne sales teams, reporting back on on-going market conditions and occasionally supporting marketing at key exhibitions and conferences.

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements/Qualifications:

• At least 2 Years proven experience in capital equipment sales to the Life Sciences research sector with either experience in sales of disruptive new technologies to pharma, biotech and academic customers.

• Minimum of a Bachelor level degree in a relevant scientific discipline. A research background with higher degree (MSc or PhD) is an advantage.

Skills required/desired:

• Experience selling instrumentation to Pharma, Biotech or CDMO/CRO customers.

• General business skills such as negotiation, strong organizational skills, problem solving and fact-based decision making. Demonstrable experience in addressing the Pharmaceutical and Biotech market in this region will be an advantage.

• Highly motivated with demonstrative interpersonal, presentation & organizational skills. Energetic, enthusiastic and hungry for success and hunter mentality

• Good technical laboratory skills as customer demonstrations are part of the role.

• Able to work with a high degree of independence. A “self-starter”.

• Proficient in English and German, with demonstrably excellent written and verbal communication skills.

• Strong interpersonal interaction skills and demonstrable ability to work collaboratively at all levels within the Bio-Techne organisation.

• Strong customer relationship skills. Skilled in anticipating and resolving issues

• Excellent attention to detail, time management and process management

• Strong interpersonal interaction skills and a collaborative approach to working with colleagues

• Proficient in the use of computer applications and software. Familiarity with MS Office and SalesForce.com CRM system advantageous.

• Able to perform a wide variety of tasks and multi-task efficiently plus excel in working in a fast-paced environment.

• Self-directed and creative
