Abbott Core Diagnostics, Abbott GmbH is looking for a Senior Business Analyst - EMEA (m/f/d)

Primary Objective of Position

  • Provides senior financial counsel and support to dedicated country. Prepares in depth analysis to support overall business decision. Ensures proper Month End close.

Major Accountabilities

  • Ensures that all activities are performed in compliance with quality system requirements.

  • Responsible for local month end close retained activities (not outsourced to Corporate Financial Services group) including system processes, submissions, accruals.

  • Perform Planning, Reporting and Analysis process for responsible Country and/or Business Unit.

  • Support financial IBP process for responsible country and/or Business Unit.

  • Support Customer Experience group through financial analysis for renewals for responsible country and/or Business Unit.

  • Ensure professional support for cross Division shared service responsibilities.

  • Provide in depth financial analysis when requested by key stakeholders. Generate and communicate insights and propose solutions and actions based on the analysis conducted.

  • Support implementation of process improvements across department and work groups. Assist with training and coaching of more junior finance staff.

  • Participate in various financial projects and provide information for management for decision making.

  • Ensure compliance with Abbott policies and procedures.

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business or Finance/ Accounting.

Background

  • 3-5 years’ experience in Commercial Finance function

  • Strong business partner attitude to support the Commercial business groups.

  • High result and process orientation.

  • Adapt quickly and learn new tasks independently.

  • Strong organizational and management skills.

  • Set priorities and organize work to meet strict deadlines.

  • Strong analytical skills.

  • Good communications skills both verbal and written.

  • Customer oriented mindset.

  • Advanced MS Office knowledge. Strong database skills (e.g. Cognos, Excel) preferred.

  • Fluent in English
