The Opportunity

This position works out of our location in Wiesbaden (Abbott GmbH) in the Abbott Diabetes Care division that is focused on helping people with diabetes manage their health with life-changing products that provide accurate data to drive better-informed decisions.

What You’ll Do

  • Mapping and implementing requirements of technical reimbursement processes of distributed products within the direct-to patient (DtP) approach.

  • Collaborating cross-functional to create and establish a consistent customer journey and experience as a baseline for all teams.

  • Executing requirement definitions and priority setting on a program level and acting as business partner in large complex program.

  • Nurturing development and implementation of DtP business and new strategic functionalities in cooperation with local and global and external stakeholders.

  • Supporting commercial organization to achieve strategic goals by providing high quality analysis and tools.

  • Assuring quality and testing of webshop and sampling pages.

  • Identifying opportunities to build future state vision and optimizing customer journey in collaboration with local and global teams.

  • Supporting innovation and change projects with different functional teams.

  • Proactively manage projects with internal and external stakeholders.

  • Coordinating continuous improvement developments and best practice of Direct to patient concept.

  • Ensuring that all activities are performed in compliance and in accordance with requirements.

Required Qualifications & Skills

  • Adequate university degree in economics, business administration or business information technology.

  • At least 5-7 years’ experience in one of the following industries: medical devices/pharma, e-commerce, or payer.

  • Minimum 7 years of work experience in e-commerce, supply chain, and customer experience area with experience in building up and use of IT solutions.

  • Understanding of German healthcare reimbursement system.

  • Proven project and process management skills - classic and agile.

  • Action and solution-oriented Team-player who takes on accountability.

  • Strong analytical and stakeholder management skills.

  • Ability to develop sustainable relationships and to effectively communicate with internal & external stakeholders.

  • Self-Starter with customer focused and service-oriented mind-set.

  • Fluency in German and English is a must.

Preferred Qualifications & Skills

  • Experience in reimbursement & functions of pharma, medical device or related functions of payers, market access consultancies or disease management organizations.

  • Previous experience or exposure to IT industry (E-commerce, Salesforce etc.) and working with international teams.

  • In depth knowledge of the German healthcare reimbursement system

  • Hands on experience and understanding of diabetes and blood glucose measuring business.

  • Experience in building products.

  • Certified Project Management Trainings (e.g. Scrum, PMP, Six Sigma)

  • MBA or consulting experience.
