The Opportunity
This position works out of our Wiesbaden-Delkenheim Abbott GmbH location.
Your role:
Service Contact for customers, country offices and sales organizations for 5 divisions of Blood Diagnostic and Diabetes Business within dedicated countries in Europe, Africa, Asia and South America
Provide continuously high-quality customer service in terms of order handling, processing and shipment organization for specified territory
Coordination of air, truck and ocean shipments with internal departments and external partners
Preparation of all necessary documentation from shipping documents, certificates or legalized documents, etc.
Communication and coordination with external 3rd party service providers (e.g. forwarders, governmental entities, inspection companies, embassies, etc.)
Handling of export finance tools such as letter of credits, bank guarantees etc.
Ensure legal export requirements are met such as export restrictions, embargo laws as well as internal policies and procedures
After sales support, complaint handling, exception handling and reporting
Project Support
Who you are:
Bachelor’s degree in logistics or business administration or vocational qualification with equivalent knowledge acquired through relevant professional experience
Work experience in export business and curiosity in international business relations
Strong customer-oriented mindset with can-do mentality and problem-solving skills
Excellent organizational, planning and decision-making skills to coordinate cross-functional processes
Agile mindset with ability to prioritize and multi-task in a fast-paced global environment
System aptitude and SAP knowledge preferred
Firm logistical forwarder knowledge to handle all areas of transportation
Basic knowledge on tax, customs, trade requirements and export finance tools (e.g. letter of credit)
Fluent communication skills in English (verbal & written); German desirable
Proficient in MS Office applications in Excel, Word, Outlook and PowerPoint
