The Opportunity

This position works out of our Wiesbaden location in the Abbott Diabetes Care - Abbott GmbH. We’re focused on helping people with diabetes manage their health with life-changing products that provide accurate data to drive better-informed decisions. We’re revolutionizing the way people monitor their glucose levels with our new sensing technology.

Your Tasks:

  • Lead the local Competitive workstream across Germany: Coordinate leaning plans and activities with other commercial functions like Commercial Excellence, Sales and Market Access to create a knowledge hub on competitive intelligence in Germany

  • Spend significant time analyzing competitive activities and behavior looking at various sources (Market Data/Research, Social Listening, Industry events, Stakeholder connects) and develop reports and recommendations to strengthen brand plans across product, pricing, promotion, distribution, etc.

  • Manage new product introductions and act as product/project manager for certain product lines/patient segments in close collaboration with multifunctional teams and Agencies

  • Develop and execute local marketing strategies, tactics and assets with focus on patients & caregivers to realize communication and commercial objectives

  • Run brand analytics for the marketing department and issue reports and recommendations to enhance the effectiveness of marketing activities

  • Coordinate and successfully manage key vendors, Agencies and respective budgets to ensure project success

  • Closely collaborate and network across Marketing stakeholders (HCP Marketing, Media, Digital, CRM, Events..), crossfunctional commercial teams (Commercial Excellence, Sales, Market Access…) as well as EMEA/Global functional ressources

  • Ensure that all activities are performed in compliance with quality system requirements

Your Qualification:

  • A Bachelors/Masters degree in business, marketing and/or consulting/data analytics/market research, or some other degree where you learned the skills required in this work

  • Experience in Competitive Intelligence (Monitoring, setting up CI reporting/processes, suggesting activities to counter / preempt competitor behavior)

  • 3-5 years of experience in brand/product management, business consulting, data analytics/research, or an equivalent field

  • Experience or interest in brand management/marketing in a customer facing industry with a strong digital footprint

  • Experienced in leading and managing complex projects in a fast-paced matrix organization

  • Strong strategic/analytical skills and structured thinking, comfort with data analysis is needed

  • Strong Project Management skills

  • Fluent in German and English
