Position Specific Responsibilities

NIARATLAS(Advanced Technologies Lab for Aerospace Systems) is seeking aCNCprogrammer for Automated Fiber Placement (AFP) machines. Previous experience with programmingAFPequipment is not a necessity as the applicant will be trained inAFPprogramming, but priorCNCprogramming is essential to aid in knowledge transfer.

Summary of Responsibilities

Analyzes and deciphers complex technical drawings, blueprints, and design schematics to ensure accurate machine setup and operations. Utilizes advanced computer-aided manufacturing (CAM) software to create and optimize part programs for automated composite manufacturing equipment. Collaborates with designers to improve production quality and efficiency.

Essential Functions

• Utilizes advanced computer-aided manufacturing (CAM) software to create and optimize part programs for automated composite manufacturing equipment.
• Collaborates with designers to improve production quality and efficiency.
• Implements quality control measures to ensure accurate part programs for manufacturing team.
• Interfaces with manufacturing team to troubleshoot programming issues and ensure quality fabrication.
• Champions the onboarding and training of staff; provides guidance and expertise onCNCmachine operations and related software applications.
