Friends University is seeking to fill the General Maintenance & HVAC Technician position in Wichita Kansas. This position will be responsible for maintaining and repairing various mechanical systems, with a focus on heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) systems across campus. Including operations of a central heating plant utilizing steam and/or hot water for tempering or heating building, and a central chilled water plant to provide cooling to campus buildings.

\ Qualifications

- - Two years HVAC experience is required; three years general maintenance experience is desired.

{=html} <!-- --> - - Excellent written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills are necessary.

{=html} <!-- --> - - Must be able to work in all weather conditions and withstand extreme hot and cold working conditions, loud noise environments; lift 100 pounds; walk and/or stand for long periods of time, and climb, stoop, kneel, crouch and crawl.

{=html} <!-- --> - - Working in the boiler room requires being exposed to non-weather wet, humid conditions and extreme heat; working inside freezers requires being exposed to extreme non-weather cold.

{=html} <!-- --> - Position also requires work in high, precarious places, exposure to noxious odors, loud noises, airborne particles, vibration, and electrical shock.
