Job Responsibilities:

Lab Supervision Duties

• Supervises and coordinates the clinical lab and staff.
• Manages in-house testing of urinalysis, hematology, microbiology, serology, and chemistry.
• Assists with drawing or obtaining samples and ordering tests from the outside lab.
• Recognizes and clarifies abnormal lab results.
• Maintains inventory of supplies for the department.
• Collects and records complete logs for all tests and pap smears.
• Implements new testing procedures as needed.
• Trains new employees, as well as oversees continuous development for the department.
• Ensures compliance by abiding by CLIA regulations and obtaining proper certifications.
• Performs all other duties as assigned.

Radiology Supervision Duties

• Provides oversight of radiology services by directing and coordinating with the staff.
• Oversees staff and operation of imaging equipment.
• Meets radiology operational standards by contributing to strategic plans and reviews, implementing patient-service standards to ensure high productivity and quality while resolving problems and identifying improvements.
• Supports patient care by resolving radiology issues with physicians, radiologists, radiology technologists, and staff.
• Improves quality results by evaluating accuracy and quality of images
• Provides technical assistance and implements new procedures as needed.
• Provides statistical reports by controlling the collection of treatment and clinical data.
• Provides a safe environment by monitoring radioactive exposure of staff and patients by controlling radium handling techniques and maintaining radium records.
• Performs all other duties as assigned
