Job Summary:\ Performs general cleaning and minor maintenance duties relating to building maintenance, sidewalks/parking lots/grounds and equipment in clean, orderly, and functional condition.\ \ Essential job Duties and Functions:

• Clean and sanitize restrooms/bathrooms/breakrooms/kitchen areas/ using established practices and procedures; follow instructions regarding the use of chemicals and supplies
• Clean, dust and wipe furniture; sweep, mop, or vacuum floors, empty/clean wastebaskets and trash containers; replace light bulbs; refill restrooms and breakrooms/lunchrooms paper towel dispensers.
• Assist with the setup of facilities for meetings, classrooms, conferences, event, etc
• Use and maintain assigned power equipment and hand tools; buffers, mops, squeegees, vacuum for cleaning and general maintenance of floors, walls, carpets, furniture, etc.; use ladders when required in work assignments
• Follow instructions regarding the use of chemicals
• Perform cleaning and related activities such as removal of snow or debris from entrances, walkways, parking lot surrounding buildings

Qualification and Experience:

• High School diploma or GED equivalent, preferred.
