Shift Differential for Weekend Shift: \$4.00/hr!!

Position Summary:\ \ Deburr Technicians will clean and blend manufactured parts, break edges, etc. using hand tools per blue print and customer requirements.This position requires attention to detail and the ability to focus on safety, quality and productivity.\ \ Job Functions:

  • Read work orders and specifications to determine level, and location on parts requiring grinding and deburring.
  • Utilize electrical and air powered hand tools to perform above functions.
  • Utilize tools such as calipers and gages to perform measurements and self-inspections.
  • When necessary, train and assist less experienced team members.
  • Ability to problem solve and trouble shoot manufacturing issues with parts and machines.
  • Work in a safe and efficient manner on daily basis.
  • Perform other job-related duties as assigned.

Preferred Qualifications and Experience:

  • High School diploma or GED equivalent.
  • Minimum of 1 year directly related experience.
  • Minimum of 1 year experience working in manufacturing environment.
  • Exposure to and familiarity with hand tools (drills, polishers, grinders, calipers, and micrometers).

Physical Demands:

  • Standing for long periods of time, reaching, lifting and bending. Working with machine tooling equipment also comes with certain safety hazards. Machinists must be able to follow equipment safety rules and use safe work practices to control these hazards. Some requirements include wearing the correct personal protective equipment, including safety glasses and earplugs, due to flying material bits and machine noise.
