Description We are looking for an Accounts Receivable Clerk to join our team in the construction industry based in Whitmore Lake, Michigan. The role involves handling customer-related financial operations, maintaining records, and facilitating communication within the team. This role offers a short term contract employment opportunity.

Responsibilities:

• Handle customer payments processing with precision and efficiency.

• Execute manual bank deposits as and when required.

• Accurately issue invoices to customers.

• Collaborate with external financing partners for smooth financial operations.

• Monitor delinquent accounts and engage with customers to discuss overdue amounts.

• Issue demand letters and escalate accounts for necessary legal action or bad debt write-off.

• Maintain clean and reconciled customer account balances.

• Handle incoming and outgoing phone calls, e-mail correspondence, and other communications effectively.

• Consistently maintain standard work instructions to document business transaction process steps.

• Perform miscellaneous tasks as needed and as time allows. Requirements • Proficiency in Account Reconciliation and Accounts Receivable (AR)

• Experience with Billing procedures and Cash Applications

• Knowledge of Cash Collections and Commercial Collections

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel

• Familiarity with QuickBooks and QuickBooks Online

• Proficiency in SAP

• Experience in the Construction/Contractor industry

• Understanding of accounting principles and regulations

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Strong problem-solving skills and analytical thinking

• Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or related field (preferred)

• Relevant work experience in accounts receivable or similar role (preferred)
