Title: Accounting Manager - religious non-profit

Contract: 3 to 4 months, potentially Contract to Hire

Onsite: Whites Creek, TN

As part of our team, you will play a crucial role in managing the month end close process, journal entries and financial reporting.

Responsibilities:

• Manage the month end close process including accruals and periodic journal entries to the general ledger

• Budgeting, forecasting, supervising Accounts Payable (more emphasis if this becomes a permanent role)

• Ensure invoices, purchase orders, and expense reports are processed and verified for accuracy and compliance

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams for efficient operations

• Manage vendor relationships and ensure timely payments

• Prepare monthly Board packages with financials

Requirements

• Demonstrated proficiency in Sage IntAcct

• CPA certificate highly preferred

• Looking for 10 years of experience in Accounting

• Proficient in managing Accounting Functions

• Strong understanding of Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR)

• Auditing skills and experience - may need to be the liaison to external auditors

• Strong communication and leadership skills

• Ability to work collaboratively with a team

• Excellent problem-solving abilities

• Attention to detail and accuracy in work

• Familiarity with financial regulations and legislation

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field preferred.

• A comfort level with individuals calling in to the organization needing assistance
