ASRC Federal Holding Company Senior Supply Specialist in White Sands Missile Range, New Mexico

Job Summary

• Reports to the Maintenance Supervisor.

• Performs supply and logistics management functions in support of the assigned site in accordance with the applicable instructions, procedures, and regulations.

• Maintains liaison and coordination with Host Base/Installation supply and logistics personnel to ensure support meets site requirements.

• Performs duties to acquire, receive, maintain accurate recordkeeping, store, inventory, and dispose of materials and supplies necessary to support site operations and maintenance.

• Maintains records and inventories.

Primary Duty Responsibilities:

a. Performs functions at the site level pertaining to the management, control, acquisition, storage, safeguarding, and issue of Government furnished or contractor acquired supplies and equipment in strict compliance with the contract, including referenced supply support procedures, instructions and directives.

b. Plans and develops procedures, coordinates policy, and provides control to obtain required supplies, material, and equipment.

c. Provides control over inventory, expediting, receiving, storage, disposition, and property accountability.

d. Instructs and advises operations and maintenance personnel in all applicable areas concerning required material and property control and associated procedures.

e. Assures proper procedures are followed, including obtaining required company or Air Force approvals, before initiating contractor direct purchase.

f. Assigned as Equipment Custodian.

g. At the direction of the Standard Base Supply System provides MICAP and PMCS support to other DoD units.

Secondary Duty Responsibilities:

a. Coordinates with Site and Program Management in the preparation of documentation and reports concerning or involving supply actions or status.

b. Coordinates with Host Base(s) to ensure adequate stocks are maintained.

c. Transports TMDE to the appropriate PMEL.

d. The Socorro Supply Specialist provides, as required, local purchase support for remote sites.

e. Maintains status and expenditure data for supply and logistics CLINs for all GEODSS sites.

g. Operate site systems and telescopes to collect metric data, radiometric data and processing of communications messages; this requires the successful completion of an in-house training program.

h. Participates in GEODSS training and evaluation program.

  1. Support the site Quality Program and environmental compliance program.

J. Assist other Space Sensor Program sites as needed.

k. Additional duties as assigned.

Requirements :

Basic Qualifications:

  • HS Diploma

  • 8 + years of related experience in supply/logistics

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Supply/Logistics training from a commercial or military school
