Description
We are in search of an experienced Sr. Accountant to join our team in White Plains, New York. In this role, you will play a critical part in maintaining our company's financial health. You will be responsible for account reconciliation, balance sheet reconciliation, bank reconciliations, and general ledger management. This role is a perfect fit for someone with strong skills in Microsoft Excel and a keen eye for detail.

Responsibilities:
• Manage account reconciliation, ensuring all financial transactions are accurately recorded and discrepancies promptly addressed.
• Conduct balance sheet reconciliation, verifying the accuracy of data and making necessary corrections.
• Oversee bank reconciliations, comparing our internal records with bank statements to identify any discrepancies.
• Maintain the general ledger, ensuring accuracy and completeness of financial data.
• Prepare and post journal entries as part of the month-end close process.
• Utilize Microsoft Excel for financial analysis and reporting.
• Work collaboratively with other team members to streamline accounting procedures.
• Provide support for internal and external audits.
• Maintain strict confidentiality of all financial data.
Requirements • Possess a minimum of 2 years of experience in an accounting role
• Proficient in Account Reconciliation, Balance Sheet Reconciliation, and Bank Reconciliations
• Must have hands-on experience with General Ledger and Journal Entries
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel is required
• Demonstrated experience in managing Month End Close
• Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field is preferred
• Certified Public Accountant (CPA) certification is a plus
• Must have a strong attention to detail and the ability to work under tight deadlines
• Experience with financial software and systems is preferred
• Must have a strong understanding of accounting and financial reporting principles and practices.
