Position Summary

Working under the supervision of a licensed Psychologist, conducts psychological assessment of patients to help determine required treatment. This role is responsible for administrative and scoring of psychological tests. Work is reviewed by psychologist, and senior psychology technicians. Personal contacts include frequent consultation with patients, psychologists, and co-workers.

Job Responsibilities

  • Administers and scores intelligence, personality and other psychological tests, to either individuals or groups.

  • Interviews new patients to determine that best battery of tests to administer.

  • Prepares a written and detailed summary of test results and of patient's behavior during testing.

  • Assists in research projects for doctors and graduate students. Tabulates test results and gathers and edits medical records. Maintains files of tests administered to patients.

  • Rescores tests administered by co-workers for accuracy and appropriateness.

  • Performs other related duties as directed.

Education

  • Bachelor's Degree

Experience

Master’s degree in psychology or related fields highly desired.

A Bachelor's degree in Psychology, or an equivalent combination of education and experience from which comparable knowledge and skills can be acquired is necessary with some course work in clinical psychology preferred.

Knowledge of psychological testing procedures and examinations.
