Position Summary

The Clerical Assistant supports the Surgical Navigation team under the direction of the Registered Professional Nurse/Provider/Manager of SNC department. Essential Functions and Responsibilities Includes the Following: Understands and adheres to the WPH Performance Standards, Policies and Behaviors. Access patients EMR to obtain information Manages telephone communications efficiently and delivers messages in a timely fashion Responds to telephone inquiries and acts as a liaison for patient/team Call patients daily to fill out questionnaire form and to schedule provider or RN visit Schedule appointments Email/phone call to offices for missing paperwork Scan documents to the charts Register patients Addresses issues with appropriate actions Participates in Performance Improvement Initiatives Attends mandatory in-services and staff meetings Collaborates and communicates effectively with the health care team. Completes annual mandatory requirements Performs all other related duties as assigned

Education &Experience Requirements

High School Diploma required Successful completion of departmental orientation College or Business (Secretarial) School preferred Minimum 3-5 years healthcare experience preferred

Education & Experience Requirements

High School Diploma or GED required.
