Performs diagnostic CT procedures within the CT Department utilizing specific equipment for that purpose. Rotates through diagnostic radiology as assigned and performs all responsibilities outlined in the CT Technologist (Non-Registered) job description. Involved in the practice of radiation and general safety at all times.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: EDUCATION, CERTIFICATION, AND/OR LICENSURE: For West Virginia, Ohio, and Maryland locations: 1. Certification in Radiography with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologist or Certified Nuclear Medicine Technologist through the NMTCB. 2. Radiologist Technologist OR Nuclear Medicine license through the West Virginia Medical Imaging and Radiation Therapy Technology Board of Examiners, or applicable state where services will be performed. 4. Obtain Basic Life Support (BLS) Certified within 30 days of hire. For Pennsylvania locations: 1.Certification in Radiography with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologist OR Certified Nuclear Medicine Technologist through the NMTCB. 2. 1. Prepares room, equipment, materials, as needed for patient exams, including sterile technique.Cleans and disinfects rooms and equipment following each patient exam, using current infection control policies.
2. Performs examinations per Physician's orders and explains procedures to the patients. Documents any variations from protocol due to patient's condition or other unknown cause and relays patient history and clinical data to Radiologist.
3. Observes patient and equipment and reports any unusual occurrences or changes. Transports and assists patients as needed.
4. Documents status of patient in reference to radiology/CT procedure on patient's chart.
5. Documents variances repeats and other such occurrences to help maintain high quality health care and opportunity for quality improvement.
6. Maintains stock supplies, performs general office duties, responsible for proper film labeling and following prescribed techniques to assure acceptable quality and consistency.
7. Practices safe radiation exposure and protection as well as general safety for patient's, visitors, and staff at all times.
