Job Title: Maintenance Planner

Job Description

Job Summary: We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Maintenance Planner/Supervisor to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for planning and scheduling all maintenance activities within the organization, including preventive and corrective maintenance tasks. This role requires strong leadership skills, the ability to work collaboratively with the maintenance manager, and effective communication in both English and Spanish.

Responsibilities

  • Plan and schedule all maintenance activities, including preventive and corrective maintenance tasks.

  • Supervise the maintenance crew daily, providing instructions and working with the maintenance manager to achieve departmental goals.

  • Create work orders based on service requests and preventive maintenance findings.

  • Operate and maintain information within the computerized maintenance management system (CMMS).

  • Prioritize jobs based on asset criticality and resource availability.

  • Collaborate with outside vendors and OEMs to ensure necessary parts are available to complete assigned work.

  • Supervise maintenance technicians daily to optimize equipment uptime and minimize disruptions to operations.

Essential Skills

  • Bilingual in English and Spanish.

  • Maintenance experience and management Experience.

  • Strong organizational and planning skills.

  • Excellent communication and leadership abilities.

  • Proficient in using CMMS or similar systems.

Work Environment

Our facility operates in a food packaging environment with a large setup consisting of 32 punch presses, 10 bagging machines, and 10 wax machines. The work environment is very loud, so candidates must be comfortable working in such conditions. The shift schedule is Monday to Friday from 6:30 am to 3:30 pm and Saturday from 7:00 am to 12:30 pm.

Job Type & Location

This is a Permanent position based out of Wheeling, Illinois.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $62400.00 - $66560.00/yr.
