Description

We are offering an opportunity for an Administrative Assistant in the Northwest suburbs. This role involves providing administrative support to our sales team, including coordination of administrative tasks, preparation of sales reports, and responding to customer inquiries. The successful candidate will be part of our experienced team of administrative associates, supporting our Sales Department's go-to-market strategies. This is a Monday through Friday on site position. Recruiter: Connie Stathopoulos

Responsibilities:

• Manage and coordinate all the administrative tasks necessary to support the sales department

• Directly support one or more Sales Managers in servicing our customers

• Attend and provide administrative support during in-town Sales Shows

• Prepare product price quotes for customers as required

• Generate sales reports using system-generated reporting and Excel-based formats

• Draft correspondence for Sales Managers, addressed to customers, manufacturer’s representatives, and sales brokers

• Respond promptly and professionally to customer inquiries and requests

• Process Product Sample Orders - enter sample orders in the system, perform quality checks, and facilitate shipment/fulfillment

• Coordinate travel plans of sales managers

• Organize Sales Shows, including manager schedules, and travel arrangements.

Requirements

Requirements:

· Minimum of five (5) years’ experience in an administrative support role. Prefer experience working within a sales department.

· Bachelor’s Degree or professional experience equivalent.

· Strong Microsoft Office skills with an emphasis on Excel spreadsheets; knowledge using intermediate to advanced Excel features.

· Strong written and verbal communication skills essential.

· Well organized, with strong multi-tasking skills-set.

· Looking for candidates who thrive in a fast-paced environment.

· Detail oriented with excellent follow-up skills.

· Strong customer service orientation.

· The ability to work independently is a must.
