Adecco US, Inc. 2nd shift Quality Inspector in Wheeling, Illinois

Adecco is hiring immediately for Quality Inspectors at a local client in Wheeling, IL. Operates department machine and equipment according to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), Machine Setup (MS), Manufacturing Procedure (MP) instructions, job orders, specifications, engineering drawings, and job order special instructions. Maintains quality system requirements for medical device manufacturer according to ISO 13485 and FDA 21 CFR 820.

Essential functions

  • Monitors the machines to insure continual, efficient production during automatic and semi-automatic mode of operations. Waste of production items must be minimized and recorded during production.

  • Visually inspects or measures in-process and finished product for specified quality attributes.

  • Loading and removal of inserts from molded parts and molds.

  • Inspecting, degating, removal of flash, cleaning and the performing of finishing procedures.

  • Reads work order and/or engineering drawings and manufacturing specifications to produce product as required.

  • Identifying and label totes, packages, and products as instructed by the work order information, your supervisor, lead-person, or quality representative.

  • Maintaining work area in a cleaned and organized fashion always.

  • Completes work orders and other related Device History Record (DHR) paperwork as required.

  • Communicates with co-workers and supervisors to receive instructions and coordinate activities along with job order performance.

  • Adheres to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) and Good Documentation Practices (GDP).

  • Report any inefficient or unsafe conditions to management upon discovery of the conditions.

  • Perform all work using safety equipment as instructed while obeying all safety-rules and procedures.

  • Supports 5s, Lean Six Sigma, and continuous improvement projects within the department and facility to support quality objectives, along with customer and business needs.

  • Other duties may be assigned

Competencies

  • Ability to read and comprehend simple to medium instructions, short correspondence, work-order instructions, and memos.

  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure.

  • Must speak/read/write English.

  • Must be organized, have initiative, and ability to work well and cooperate with all levels of the department. Required education and experience

  • Minimum High School Diploma or GED.

  • One (1) to three (3) years related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • Must be familiar with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP)/Quality System Regulations (QSR)/Good Documentation Practices (GDP).

Preferred Education and experience

  • Previous experience in the medical device industry

Physical demands & Travel required

  • No travel required

  • Medium - While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, stoop, Kneel, crouch, and use hands to finger, handle, or free objects. The use of common hand tools and regularly sharp tools are involved.

  • Medium - This position requires that the individual be able to lift weight exceeding 50lbs. and can maneuver large, cumbersome totes.

  • The employee frequently is required to talk, hear, and communicate with other employees

Pay Details: $17.00 to $17.50 per hour
