Description We are looking for a dedicated and meticulous Bookkeeper to join our team in Wharton, New Jersey. The role involves maintaining accurate financial records, processing customer credit applications, and undertaking general office work. This role offers a short term contract employment opportunity.

Responsibilities:

• Processing certified payroll for 16-20 employees, ensuring all payments are made in accordance with prevailing wage requirements

• Handling all aspects of Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable processes

• Using QuickBooks and Microsoft Excel to manage financial data and create journal entries

• Maintaining accurate customer credit records and processing customer credit applications efficiently

• Monitoring customer credit accounts and taking appropriate action to collect delinquent payments

• Undertaking general office work as needed to support the smooth running of the business. Requirements • Must have proven experience as a Bookkeeper.

• Proficiency in managing accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR).

• Strong knowledge and experience with QuickBooks and Microsoft Excel.

• Experience with certified payroll is required.

• Must be able to create and manage journal entries.

• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

• Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

• Proven ability to meet deadlines and manage time effectively.

• A bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field is preferred.
