Compensation Range:

$80,000 - $100,000

Position Description:

The Purchasing/Contracts Manager will negotiate with vendors for the purchase of all materials, supplies, equipment, and services used by the company. The Purchasing/Contracts Manager is responsible for managing vendors and sourcing equipment, goods, and services. This role performs strategic procurement activities across multiple categories of spend, searches for better deals, and finds more profitable suppliers.

Position Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, Logistics, Business Administration, or related field.

• Minimum of 10+ years’ experience in purchasing for professional services, construction, maintenance, and operations contracts.

• Valid driver’s license.

• Possess good communications skills and be detail oriented.

• Communicate complex issues effectively in written format & oral presentation to clients.

• Must be able to function as part of a high-performance team.

• Strong working knowledge of facilities operations and building systems.

• Ability to work collaboratively in mobile work environment.

• Software proficiency in MS Office Suite (Excel, Project, Word, SharePoint).

• Strong project management skills.

• Ability to recognize, troubleshoot, document, and optimize facilities processes.

• Effective written and verbal communication skills.

• Ability to read and interpret financial data relating to facilities.

• Has a good understanding of the critical facility environment, including hospitals, airports and data centers.

Essential Duties:

• Negotiate with vendors for good and services, to obtain the best possible price, service guarantee and contract terms.

• Established purchasing policies and ensure compliance with safety and corporate guidelines on business ethics.

• Administer corporate purchasing program.

• Develop new supply sources where vendors are inadequate.

• Examine bids and make awards.

• Established account/credit and terms.

• Negotiate blanket purchase orders when appropriate and monitors cost during the time period.

• Check requisitions for appropriate approval and account numbers.

• Work closely with receiving department to ensure proper supplies arrived and trace delinquent arrivals from purchase orders.

• Follows environmental and safety regulations and acts in compliance with U.S. laws.

• Create budgets for projects and affiliated activities.
