Position Summary:

The Chief Financial Officer (CFO) will lead the Core-Mark segment of Performance Food Group in formulating financial policy and plans. Responsible for providing strategic leadership for the company by working with the senior executive management team to establish long-range goals, strategies, plans and policies. Responsible for providing overall direction for the accounting, tax, insurance, budget, credit, and treasury functions. Directs activities associated with the security and investment of the segment's assets and funds, and ensures that financial transactions, policies, and procedures meet the organization's short- and long-term objectives, and regulatory body requirements. Functions as a team member within the department and organization, as required, and perform any duty assigned to best serve the company. This role reports directly into the Chief Financial Officer of PFG and the Chief Executive Officer of the Convenience Segment.

Responsibilities:

  • Supervises associates to include, but not limited to: staffing, training, coaching, performance management and problem resolution.

  • Plan, develop, organize, implement, direct and evaluate the segment’s fiscal function and performance. Participate in the development of the corporation’s plans and programs as a strategic partner; evaluate and advise on the impact of long-range planning, introduction of new programs/strategies and regulatory action.

  • Participate in continual improvement of the budgeting process through education of department managers on financial issues impacting their budgets; evaluate the finance division structure and team plan for continual improvement of the efficiency and effectiveness of the group and provide individuals with professional and personal growth.

  • Develop credibility for the finance group by providing timely and accurate analysis of budgets, financial reports and financial trends in order to assist the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the segment and Chief Financial Officer of PFG in their responsibilities.

  • Enhance and/or develop implement and enforce policies and procedures of the organization by way of systems that will improve the overall operation and effectiveness of the corporation.

  • Provide technical financial advice and knowledge to others within the financial discipline.

  • Provide strategic financial input and leadership on decision-making issues affecting the organization (i.e., evaluation of potential acquisitions and/or mergers and investments.)

  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

• 6-10 Years of senior / executive financial management experience
