Summary

The Fuel Pricing Advisor will be responsible for leading and setting retail pricing for all sites and products (gasoline, diesel, and DEF) to maximize volume and margin with strategy and guidance provided by Management. Understand key components of the organization’s purchasing and selling dynamics. Optimize and recommend effective pricing strategies with the use of comprehensive data analytics while staying in tune with supply and demand fundamentals. Stay abreast of market intel to examine current and future trends leading to the modification and evolution of existing strategies. Lead and manage Fuel Pricing Analyst.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Lead and set retail pricing for entire network utilizing Kalibrate pricing optimization software and SAP. Model, analyze, and implement pricing strategies for all products (gasoline, diesel, and DEF).

  • Lead the analysis of site-specific sales, margin, competitors, and market intel to make decisions that maximize profits.

  • Identify and implement strategic opportunities (such as modifying gasoline grade spreads) using data analytics.

  • Effectively communicate and regularly interface with key stakeholders internally (Support Center and field) and externally to identify areas for operational improvement such as site level performance, market changes, etc.

  • Develop strategy and lead implementation of GIPP and other bp pricing tools to maximize results in margin and/or volume. Lead effort to measure financial impact of pricing tool enhancements.

  • Ensure compliance with all federal, state and, local fuel requirements such as signage, below cost laws, states of emergency, etc.

  • Work on initiatives with other departments including, but not limited, to Fleet Sales, Hospitality, etc. within the organization with the goal of optimizing pricing strategy across all segments.

  • Data oversight to validate its integrity. Maintain relationships with external partners such as OPIS, ProMiles, etc.

  • Measure and track results that show direct impact to financial results.

  • Support Management with analysis, reports, presentations, new programs, and special projects.

  • Participate in project or committee meetings as required.

  • Perform all assigned tasks accurately, efficiently and within company and department policies and procedures.

  • Train, develop, and coach members of team to achieve optimal performance.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience preferred.

  • 2-4 years of experience in pricing, purchasing, account management or related experience preferred.

  • Logistics or Operations background preferred.

  • Excellent PC, communication, and analytical skills required.

  • Must possess critical thinking skills and be able to identify issues quickly.

  • Strong communication skills are required.

In this role, the employee is

continuously sitting and typing, frequently talking and using eye and hand

coordination and may also be required to climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch
