Lockheed Martin Financial Analyst / Accounting / Lvl 2 / Westford, MA in Westford, Massachusetts

Description: Are you ready to join a high-performing Finance and Business Operations team, in the defense and security industry, that supports cutting-edge Radio Frequency design and manufacturing operations?

We need a new team member with a track record demonstrating dedication, self-motivation, innovation, and proven ability to learn quickly and overcome obstacles. Experience gathering and organizing data, especially using Microsoft Excel, is highly desired. Ideally we could use someone with program finance experience on government development contracts with DFARS requirements.

A solid education in business, finance, industrial engineering, data analysis or accounting will be most useful.

Responsibilities will include: developing and analyzing performance reports; writing Variance Analysis Reports (VARs); organizing, analyzing and reporting cost data; developing, analyzing and reporting earned value measurement (EVM); entering data into the Missiles and Fire Control (MFC) Electronic Financial System (EFS); helping develop program and functional estimates-at-completion (EACs) and baseline budgets; creating and processing Schedule/Budget Change Requests (S/BCRs); helping develop estimating inputs and basis of estimate (BOE) write-ups.

Position will require on-site presence at least 75% of the time, with telework opportunity when not required on site.

Successful candidate must be able to work as part of a team, and will be responsible for ensuring compliance with Lockheed Martin policies and procedures, as well as Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplement (DFARS) and contract requirements.

Day-to-day tasks will include delivering accurate, timely reports, gathering and organizing data, assisting with data analysis, developing cost performance metric presentations, effectively collaborating with other team members, across functional and program organizations.

Ideal candidate will have demonstrated experience independently handling multiple tasks, in a fast-paced work environment, where a high degree of accuracy is required.

The Locale: Chelmsford is a charming suburb of Boston located about 25 miles northwest of that city. Chelmsford is very close to historic Lowell Massachusetts and to Nashua, New Hampshire. Chelmsford is within reach of New Hampshire’s White Mountains and awesome ski areas to the north, and the scenic coastal towns of MA and NH are about an hour east. This scenic colonial region offers lots of New England charm, great schools, shopping, and restaurants. Chelmsford and the region share an impressive past from the early days after the pilgrims arrived in Plymouth to the revolutionary war. Where can you get to from Chelmsford? Chelmsford is about 90 minutes from Cape Cod. Boston is about 30 minutes to the east without traffic. New York City is about 4.5 hours away from Chelmsford. Waterville Valley and other major ski resorts of New Hampshire and Vermont are about 2 to 3 hours to the north. It should be noted that Chelmsford, Massachusetts is approximately 35 miles northwest of the Boston metropolitan area and offers better access to a wide range of substantially more affordable regions in the area to live. Those regions include Northeastern and North Central Massachusetts, and Southern, New Hampshire.

This position will be located in the leased office space at 10 Technology Road, Westford, Mass., which is about 2 miles from the Chelmsford facility at 16 Maple Road.

Basic Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree.

Basic accounting skills, or cost accounting skills, or budgeting skills, or cost forecasting skills, or cost estimating skills.

Ability to obtain a secret security clearance and therefore must be a US citizen.

Desired Skills:

Bachelor's degree in business, finance, data

analysis, accounting or industrial engineering is

desired with 3 years of professional experience

in one or more of the following areas...

1) Advanced-level proficiency with Microsoft

Excel, creating complex spreadsheets with links

and multiple pages, creating Pivot Tables, slicers,

and graphs, and using vlookup and hlookup

formulas, financial or statistical formulas, &

conditional formulas; 2) Basic-level proficiency

with Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook;

3) Excellent interpersonal and communications

skills, both written and oral; 4) Data organization

skills; 5) Data analysis skills, especially cost and

schedule variance analysis, and the ability to

deliver insightful analysis along with the data, and; 6) Data visualization skills, especially with web-

based tools like Tableau software.

Ability to Work Remotely: Part-time Remote Telework: The employee selected for this position will work part of their work schedule remotely and part of their work schedule at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. The specific weekly schedule will be discussed during the hiring process.

Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.

Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
