INK TECHNICIAN Job description Westfield manufacturing company currently seeking an Ink Room Technician to join their team! Full time, temp-hire opportunity on a rotating 12 hour shift schedule on nights! Duties include: -Mix ink by following formulas, selecting calculations, using scales, adding/mixing ingredients, and labeling containers. -Check color quality of newly made inks to approved color standard by testing on required substrate. -Clean ink mixing tools and equipment by hand, removing all traces of ink. Store cleaned tools. -Must be able to work around chemicals/inks and their unique odors -Inspect return inks from production and check label to return to storage location -Dispose of garbage, spoiled or contaminated ink and unsafe or unusable ink containers into the appropriate receptacles. -Keep ink room in neat and orderly fashion, assist in cleaning. Qualifications: Good math and reading skills required. Experience working with ink - preferred but not required. Color matching ability and knowledge of inks preferred. Knowledge of basic computer operating and a good working knowledge of IMS Work independently and as part of a team, effectively communicate, good math and mechanical skills, get along with others, positive attitude and well organized. Schedule: 6pm-6am 4 days on/4 days off.
