Seeking a technical project manager in the Westerville/Columbus, Ohio area with experience managing telecommunications projects such as circuit test and turn ups, hardware refresh and data center refresh.

Required Skills -

Job Duties -

Collect, organize, manage and communicate details specific to the AT&T environment and relative to the Project and order activity.

  • Collaborate with customer to confirm and define requirements.

  • Manage the integration of vendor tasks and tracks/reviews vendor deliverables.

  • Manage communication of customer requirements to partnering AT&T organizations.

  • Act as a point of escalation to customer.

  • Track critical AT&T milestones (transport/equipment) to help ensure they are met according to customer standards.

  • Provide communication critical for AT&T milestone status to customer.

  • Coordinate critical events with customer (e.g., test and turn up).

  • Participate in project meetings and is responsible for project tracking and analysis.

  • Create and assign tasks in AT&T's Global Provisioning System ("GPS") to partnering organizations and monitor for proper completion.

  • Collaborate and work in a global virtual team environment.

  • Provide ad hoc technical consultation to customer.

  • Act as single point of contact and is the AT&T face to the customer during implementation.

  • Validate that the project schedule is implemented in a cost/time effective manner.

  • Provide status reports as specified in the Project Plan.

Job Requirements -

Must reside within reasonable driving distance of Westerville, OH

Competent knowledge of Cisco Material including switches, routers, WAN/LAN and WLANs.

  • Competent knowledge with networking performance and monitoring tools and protocols.

  • Ability to manage multiple projects/tasks simultaneously.

  • Ability to manage project milestones and critical elements.

  • Knowledge of network and telecommunications products and their installation.

  • Ability to adjust project activities (where possible and that do not adversely affect AT&T margin) to help ensure AT&T's customer satisfaction.

  • Ability to deliver messages to the customer in a professional manner.

  • strong oral and written communication skills.

  • Basic understanding of effective resource management.

  • Ability to manage simple installations on time and within budget.

  • Ability to utilize the internal organization and hierarchy appropriately.

  • Proficient in MS Office and its applications: Word, Excel, Outlook, Power Point, Access, MS Project and Visio.

Desired Skills & Experience -

PMP Certification

Prior experience with ATT or supporting ATT
