Responsibilities
The Survey Project Manager is responsible for overseeing all aspects of land survey projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. This role serves as the primary liaison between the company and clients, ensuring strong communication and satisfaction. The Survey Project Manager will lead both field and office teams, manage resources, and contribute to business development and staff growth.
Key Responsibilities:
- Project Management: Lead and manage land survey projects from initiation to completion, ensuring that all deliverables meet both company quality standards and client specifications
- Operational Efficiency: Participate in planning and implementing systems and procedures to maximize project efficiency and productivity
- Proposal and Budget Development: Prepare and manage project proposals, budgets, schedules, contracts, and billings to ensure financial success
- Technical Oversight: Sign and seal plats, field notes, and control drawings as needed, maintaining compliance with industry regulations
- Resource Management: Establish work plans, staffing needs, and resource allocation for multiple concurrent land survey projects
- Client Relations: Engage in business development opportunities, cultivate and maintain strong client relationships, and represent the company in meetings and presentations
- Presentations & Reporting: Develop and present project updates and technical reports to clients and stakeholders, ensuring clear and effective communication
- Collaboration: Coordinate with sub-consultants and other business partners to ensure seamless project execution
- Financial Oversight: Monitor and report on the financial status of projects, including Accounts Receivable, Work in Progress (WIP), and billing cycles
- Business Development & Representation: Actively represent the company at industry meetings and trade shows, fostering relationships and identifying new business opportunities
- Support & Growth: Provide support to other departments as needed and contribute to staff development through mentorship and training
Qualifications
5+ years of industry related work experience in a professional or management capacity
Bachelor's degree in related discipline/and or equivalent experience
Demonstrated experience in project/phase management for large scale
