Vertiv Corporation Account Manager, Commercial & Industrial in Westerville, Ohio
POSITION SUMMARY The Account Manager, C&I focuses on key commercial and industrial market opportunities with the goal of increasing Vertiv share of wallet through penetrating and navigating targeted accounts at all levels with a focus on reaching and influencing high level executives. This position will have global responsibility for key verticals within the commercial and industrial market and will be measured on success across all product lines Vertiv provides. It will work closely with technical sales, local Vertiv offices (LVOs), offering management, and executive leadership to define the roadmap to success within each opportunity and act as the "quarterback" to ensure our standing within targeted accounts is perceived as a preferred partner by the customer. Strategic account planning, productive and effective collaboration (in the Americas and globally), key influencer relationship management (end users, consultants, channel partners, etc.), share of wallet growth, and executive level reporting are key responsibilities of this role. RESPONSIBILITIES * Calls and develops relationships at key industry leading organizations with the intent to influence data center and operational technology infrastructure purchasing decisions. * Penetrates key account targets and establishes yourself as a trusted advisor for all influencers within the organization. * Works closely with Tech Sales, Field Sales offices, and Solutions teams to differentiate Vertiv's technical capabilities within key account targets and manages information sharing between these groups to present a unified Vertiv to the market * Works with local Vertiv offices to support the direct interaction and execution of targeted accounts. * Develops and maintains key account status templates and presents to senior management at a regularly defined cadence. * Works with the sales teams and sales management to develop the strategic plan for onboarding a new named account. * Drives for year over year growth through successfully managing key target accounts. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS * Bachelor's degree (or equivalent combination of education and experience). * 8+ years field sales experience * Experience interacting directly with key industry influencers and decision makers, including end users, associations, supply chain buying groups (ex. GPO's & Consortiums), channel partners, consulting engineers, and contractors. * Experience selling into or working with key influencers within the Commercial and Industrial sectors. * Strong communication skills, both written and verbal. * Ability to grasp complex organizational concepts and organize effectively. * Strong leadership skills. * Ability to solve complex problems and quickly implement solutions. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS * MBA * Functional understanding of Vertiv's technologies, solutions, and capabilities * Fundamental understanding of Vertiv's served markets, our go to market business models and competitor's strengths and weaknesses.
