Job Function

Act as technical expert on device, procedure, and protocol throughout the life cycle of the clinical investigation

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide education/ clinical support during the procedure device; device preparation, handling, implantation and troubleshooting techniques.

  • Achieve full certification for independent case support.

  • Case screening and planning, mitral and tricuspid, support to structural teams including imaging and implant specialists.

  • Act as an expert to physicians, and other related hospital staff, as well as EW personnel on assigned therapy including mitral/ tricuspid transcatheter repair and replacement.

  • Provide procedural analysis and feedback on product and training improvements (both externally and internal personal) and communicate with cross-functional teams (e.g., Engineers, Medical Affairs) on commercial and clinical learnings.

  • Work collectively with existing ANZ team, APAC Clinical team, Business Unit Director to develop local and APAC strategies for existing and future innovations.

  • Provide technical expertise, including imaging and implant techniques, obtaining and relaying feedback from HCPs on assigned BU products and/or procedures to TMTT Business Unit Director.

  • Ability to travel across APAC region, including China and Japan, to support cases and pipeline products when required.

  • Continuous training to support current and future innovations.

  • Act as a clinical mentor to other Clinical Field Specialists within the JAPAC region.

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's Degree or Equivalent in related field, preferred Cardiac Sonography.

  • 8 years’ experience of previous related experience required.

  • Training experience in clinical / technical environment.

  • Strong relationship with Structural Cardiology community within ANZ, and additionally JAPAC (optional)

Additional Skills:

  • Experience in transcatheter mitral and tricuspid therapies.

  • Proven successful project management skills.

  • Proven expertise in both Microsoft Office Suite, including advanced Excel and related] systems.

  • Excellent documentation and communication skills.

  • Interpersonal relationship skills including negotiating and relationship management skills with ability to drive achievement of objectives.

  • Extensive knowledge of own role within the organization while contributing to the development of new concepts, techniques, and standard.

  • Extensive knowledge and understanding of cardiovascular science.

  • Extensive understanding of cardiovascular anatomy, pathology and physiology including the applications and “language” of the market and Edwards Lifesciences.

  • Extensive understanding of medical device regulatory requirements and documents, device accountability and adverse events reporting.

  • Extensive imaging analysis software skills (e.g. 3Mensio, TomTec, Vitrea, Circle VI, AMBRA.)

  • Ability to manage confidential information with discretion.

  • Strict attention to detail.

  • Ability to interact professionally with all organizational levels and proactively escalate issues to appropriate levels of management in the organization.

  • Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast paced environment.

  • Integrating and adding to the Team Culture of TMTT ANZ.
