Description We are looking for a diligent Staff Accountant to join our team in Westbury, New York. The role involves managing and executing a variety of accounting operations, including preparing journal entries, analyzing financial statements, and maintaining company ledgers.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare and maintain financial reports, perform account reconciliations and analyses.

• Conduct month-end and year-end closes.

• Utilize accounting software like QuickBooks, NetSuite, Oracle, SAP for data entry and financial management.

• Handle all operations related to Accounts Payable and Receivable, Bank Reconciliations, General Ledger, Journal Entries, and Month End Close.

• Assure financial compliance through the knowledge of state and federal regulations.

• Assist with the development of budgets and financial forecasts.

• Work closely with external auditors during financial and operational audits.

• Maintain confidentiality of organizational information.

• Ensure timely and accurate processing of business transactions.

• Prepare accurate quarterly and annual tax reports. Requirements • Minimum of three years of experience in accounting or related field

• Proficient in Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR)

• Experience in performing Bank Reconciliations

• Knowledgeable in maintaining the General Ledger

• Ability to prepare and record Journal Entries

• Experience in performing Month End Close procedures

• Proficiency in using NetSuite, Oracle, QuickBooks, and SAP accounting software

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Strong time management and organizational skills

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field preferable.
