Under the supervision of the Associate Director of Transitional Health, the Jail Services Manager implements jail and corrections-based services. This position will oversee contracted services and ensure that these encounters meet the reporting requirements to maintain and expand services. This position will interact with corrections staff and assist in the provision of care and process of release planning. Jail Services staff will utilize the Sequential Intercept Model as language when discussing services and defining how it fits into the system of care. This position and program will be a part of care at Intercept(s) III-IV. Jail Services Manager ensures all Jail Program employees will work with jail staff and local behavioral health providers to identify inmates needing mental health assessments and/or services in the jails and corrections facilities (Intercept III-IV); Coordinates provision of these services by Catholic Charities staff or agencies identified under this contract; implements crisis intervention techniques for client stabilization when appropriate or coordinates with crisis services or other treatment services. Coordinates jail discharges (Intercept IV) for adults, provides input to other stake-holder staff regarding treatment and release planning for clients served. Seeks to identify and facilitate the least restrictive setting post incarceration. Responsibilities: Program Oversight Operates in line with the mission and vision of Catholic Charities Establishes effective communications with Jail Services staff including providing feedback that supports program operation while facilitating professional and personal growth of staff Facilitates hiring of Jail Services program staff, coordinates appropriately with the Associate Director of Crisis Services, Associate Director of Outpatient Services, Associate Director of Medical Services, Associate Director of Transitional Health and Human Resources to initiate process, as indicated Conducts annual performance evaluations for supervisees of the Jail Services program Works with the Diversion Team and members of the NCACH Diversion program on a comprehensive plan for jail mental health services Works with the Associate Director of Transitional Health to ensure that program operations meet contractual and funder requirements for program staffing and service delivery Attends supervisory and/or program staff meetings to ensure needs of the program(s), staff, clients, and contract requirements are met Provides clinical supervision to Jail programs staff Oversees the quality assurance and continued quality improvement implementation process for the Jail Services program Establishes and maintains working relationships with community agencies and meets with providers of other community resources w
