Description

No C2C - must have permanent work authorization for the U.S. for this position This job is 100% onsite.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Apply scientific analysis and mathematical models to evaluate design alternatives and predict outcomes.

  • Interpret and validate test results to ensure accuracy and precision.

  • Oversee product acceptance procedures to meet reliability and safety standards, including failure analysis.

  • Use predictive models to simulate and verify design concepts.

  • Complete technical project tasks such as preparing product layouts, defining system architecture, and developing product plans.

  • Develop data and analysis to present technical proposals to customers.

  • Contribute to project milestones by creating functional diagrams, reviewing drawings, analyzing material requirements, and researching customer data.

  • Maintain project efforts within cost and schedule constraints, addressing variances with root cause analysis and corrective actions.

  • Review product specifications to ensure clarity, completeness, and conformity to standards.

  • Troubleshoot design issues and recommend revisions and improvements.

  • Maintain and update Product Line Design Standards.

  • Provide technical information and support to engineering teams, adhering to consistent practices and documentation methods.

  • Write documentation, technical reports, and supporting materials.

  • Conduct complex analyses and tests for new products, methods, materials, or processes.

  • Compile and analyze operation, test, and research data; develop and execute test plans and reports.

  • Communicate with customers to identify opportunities, present product capabilities, and clarify technical requirements.

  • Write technical proposals by reviewing and interpreting specifications and requirements.

  • Mentor and share specialized knowledge with colleagues.

  • Set and track goals and objectives for project completion.

  • Update professional knowledge through workshops, publications, and professional associations.

  • Collaborate with offshore suppliers to ensure product line standards.

    Requirements

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a technical science discipline; Master’s degree preferred.

  • 5-7 years of experience in designing sealing solutions.

  • 7-9 years of related experience demonstrating ability to perform essential job functions.

  • Proficient in CAD, preferably Inventor, including solid modeling; knowledge of simulation techniques (FEA, CFD) is a plus.

  • Ability to read, understand, and create engineering drawings, including geometric tolerance and dimensioning (GD& T); understands component assembly relationships and tolerance stacking.

  • Knowledge of Design for Manufacturing and Assembly (DFM/DFA), Value Analysis/Value Engineering (VA/VE), and Design of Experiments (DOE).

  • Working knowledge of DFMEA.

  • Basic proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

  • Strong interpersonal skills, ability to work in a team environment, and project management experience.

  • Effective communication and presentation skills, with the ability to respond to inquiries from customers, regulatory agencies, or marketing/sales teams.

  • Advanced degree in business or technical field is a plus, but not required.

Location: This position is available in Nacogdoches, TX; Elgin, IL; or Salt Lake City, UT.
