As a Housing Construction and Development Coordinator at Utah Housing Corporation, you will be at the heart of transforming housing development projects from concept to completion. This dynamic role involves overseeing housing development production, lending, and construction management, emphasizing meticulous organization and financial acumen. Your expertise in financial administration, project management, and risk management will be pivotal in driving successful outcomes and enhancing community living across Utah.

We offer a competitive salary ranging from $71,052 to $127,899 per year, depending on experience. As our Housing Construction and Development Coordinator, you will manage development and construction functions for small-scale single family and multifamily housing developments throughout Utah. Working closely with Financial Services and our development team, you will oversee financial liabilities and assist with preparing security instruments. Your responsibilities will also include assisting the Housing Development Manager with program development, making recommendations to streamline processes, and mitigating risks related to lending and construction. You will be involved in managing construction loan administration, making funding recommendations, and ensuring timely and on-budget delivery of housing projects.

You will play a crucial role in preparing underwriting documents and due diligence recommendations, coordinating pre-development functions, and ensuring timely approvals and permits. Supervising bid proposals, bid analysis, review, negotiation, and contract award processes for housing development programs will be part of your duties, along with ensuring compliance with construction contract terms and Utah lien laws. Additionally, you will review Community Fund proposals, prepare executive summaries, coordinate grant agreements, disbursements, and closings, and, as needed, drive a Utah Housing vehicle.

The ideal candidate will hold a four-year college degree in a relevant field and have at least eight years of full-time professional experience focused on housing development, construction management, or related areas. A strong understanding of legal concepts related to contracts, development, utility, municipal requirements, and project management is essential.

A Utah general contractor license is preferred but not required. Proficiency in relevant software, effective communication of complex directives, and a high degree of professional conduct are key. Strong organizational skills, the ability to manage multiple tasks, maintain confidentiality, and travel as needed are also required.

The Housing Construction and Development Coordinator benefits from a flexible full-time schedule with alternate Fridays off.
