Summary This position is located at Grant Hall. This position is Weather Essential. Responsibilities Moves supplies and material by stacking in assigned locations. Conducts inventories. Recommends reordering when levels of stock become low. Assembles items for shipment or delivery as required. Safely boxes and packs material for shipment or storage. Assists in the unloading of trucks, as required, by using hand trucks, pallets, jacks or dollies and moves or stores supplies as necessary. Moves furniture upon request. Verifies and documents receipt of material by checking received items against vendor's documents and purchase orders or requisition documents. Performs other duties as assigned. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications 1. Must have nine (9) months experience in warehousing activities. 2. Must have and retain a valid state driver's license. This experience must be reflected on your resume to be considered eligible for this position. Skills and Knowledge: Ability to stock, move, arrange and rotate warehouse items in accordance with operating instructions or under guidance of a higher-level employee. Skilled in manually stacking, palletizing, arranging and rotating items according to size and weight; using hand trucks. Dollies and other similar manual equipment to move stock. Ability to complete appropriate forms relating to stock description, quantity, unit of issue and the labeling requirements for incoming and outgoing materials. Education Additional Information NOTE: Candidates with Special Qualifying Skills and Experience may be brought in higher than the Step 1 rate of pay, determined by the Hiring Manager. PCS Costs Payment Permanent Change of Station (PCS) costs are not authorized, based on a determination that a PCS move is not in the Government's interest. FWS Allowances and Differentials This is a federal wage schedule (FWS) position. All FWS employees are entitled to overtime work for work in excess of 8 hours in a day or in excess of 40 hours in the administrative workweek, whichever provides the greater benefit to the employee. Regular full-time, regular part-time (to include those in a limited tenure appointment category) and regularly scheduled flexible employees are entitled to Sunday premium pay when working Sunday shifts. A FWS employee will be paid a night shift differential of 7.5% for the entire shift when a majority of the employee's regularly scheduled non-overtime hours of work occur between the hours of 1500 and 2400. A FWS employee will be paid a night shift differential of 10% of the scheduled rate if a majority of the employee's regularly scheduled non-overtime hours of work occur between the hours of 2300-0800.
